Two rockets will be launched from Andøya in the period 16th-30th of November 17:00-21:00 UTC. The purpose of the Aurora Current and Electrodynamics Structures II (ACES II) mission is to: -Determine the distribution of the ionospheric currents and the associated energy dissipation in a stable arc. -Determine the role of the Alfven resonator in governing the structuring of current closure The PI of the mission is Dr. Scott R Bounds, University of Iowa. The UHF should run bella with a pointing direction of: azimuth: 29.0; elevation: 40.0 The radar data will not be used for a launch decision. This run can be cancelled if the SP_NI_DSLR run is also cancelled (to maintain EISCAT scheduling rules for out of hours experiments)
