Description:	Characterisation of plasma density structures originating radio wave scintillation at VHF and L ba
Notes	The proposed experiment is a continuation of previous campaigns which provided (a) an inter-calibration between EISCAT and GNSS Total Electron Content (TEC) [1], (b) the identification of properties of auroral ionisation structures originating L-band scintillation [2] and (c) characterisation of plasma density irregularities along specific phase screen(s), together with the indication of the outer scale and the medium thickness [2, 4-5]. Following from (b), the proposed experiment intends to advance the understanding of the mechanisms behind large-to-small scale structures in the auroral ionosphere and how they originate scintillation at VHF (KAIRA) and L-band (GNSS). The radars’ beams can be made to align and/or intersect ray paths of relevance, such as from astronomical radio sources and GNSS satellites. The experiment has 20 hours of UHF time and 20 hours of ESR time to use This is a coordinated campaign with KAIRA and will operate for several days: - 04 November 2025, 19:00-23:00 UT - 06 November 2025, 19:00-23:00 UT - 11 November 2025, 19:00-23:00 UT - 13 November 2025, 19:00-23:00 UT - 18 November 2025, 19:00-23:00 UT - 20 November 2025, 19:00-23:00 UT
