Responsible experimenter for UHF radar:
Resources: UK(72) [format: <Associate code>(<hours>), eg EI(50)]
Notes
RADI aims to use the VHF to monitor energetic particle precipitation (EPP) for comparison with measurements of NO and other chemical constituents by the BAS microwave radiometer, located at SGO. To help to bridge the gap between the two locations the UHF will operate in a scanning mode, azimuth pointing towards the field of view of the radiometer. The scan will be in elevation from near vertical to ~30 degrees (details to be determined with Ingemar) The VHF should be vertical and running manda The UHF could also run manda but beata (1.5km range resolution for the ion line) would also work
