Responsible experimenter for Svalbard radar:
Resources: NI(12) [format: <Associate code>(<hours>), eg EI(50)]
Notes
We would like to ask ESR staff to run the SP. We will run the ESR 32m radar at a low elevation angle, sweeping the dusk region (14-18 MLT) in an east-west direction. We plan to analyze the data in comparison with auroral development observed by the all-sky imager and DMSP satellites, so that clear sky is desired. Focusing on the periods after a prolonged northward IMF condition, we will examine the characteristics of the mesoscale plasma flow structure and their temporal development. We expect the appearance of the Horse-collar aurora during the observational period. However, if it will not appear, we can discuss the structure in it referring to the knowledge we already have.
