Responsible experimenter for VHF radar:
Resources: NO(18) [format: <Associate code>(<hours>), eg EI(50)]
Notes
Aim: observe PMSE using tri-static radar during the day and beginning of PMSE season. Planned: two days of tri-static PMSE observations during July. Requested Observation time (18 hours) in July: 12 hours VHF tri-static (Tromsø, Kiruna, Sodankylä) (total 18 hrs) This campaign has a focus on using the tri-static observations of PMSE to study dusty plasma phenomena. The analysis of tri-static observations will provide information on horizontal motion in the PMSE which is possibly related to the formation process. Participants: Ingrid Mann and Gunter Stober. This is a first observation to start a collaboration with new EISCAT Affiliate in Neustrelitz. There is also a plan to compare the data to observations from Andøya (IAP Kuehlungsborn). This request was delayed because Gunter is not yet aware of the time lines -
