Responsible experimenter for VHF radar:
Resources: NI(12) [format: <Associate code>(<hours>), eg EI(50)]
Notes
We will run the EISCAT VHF radar with all-sky cameras in Tromsø and MST radars in northern Scandinavia. Clear sky is desired, but not mandatory because the objective of this experiment is archived only by the radio observations (EISCAT and MST radars). Based on the simultaneous data, we investigate the relationship between 1) low-altitude ionization (EISCAT), 2) occurrence of pulsating aurora (all-sky cameras), and 3) Polar Mesosphere Winter Echoes (MST radars). We book 4 nights, but if it would go very well for the first 3 nights, we would cancel the last one.
