Note: The Magic Constant in the analysis was set to 2.1 for this experiment.
Note: Calibration using plasma line data is done using undecoded data. In the case of the manda experiment on Svalbard, there is thus often a dominating influence coming from the previous pulse because of the higher electron density. In this example, there were two clear lines in the plasma line data where the lower frequency one is assumed to be connected to the E region, and the higher frequency one to the F region (the top part in the normal plots). Since the maxima were in different freuency bands, the standard calibration software could be used by only looking at the lower frequency band for the E region comparison.
